This first-person adventure takes place in the Underground Empire of Zork, where Grand Inquisitor Mir Yannick has banned magic and made the practice of mystic arts punishable. To restore magic, the protagonist joins forces with Dungeon Master Dalboz to find three artifacts: the Coconut of Quendor, the Cube of Foundation, and the Skull of Yoruk. Their search is intended to bring about the fall of the Inquisition.
The player explores locations across the empire, including Hades, Flood Control Dam #3, and the Dungeon Master's Lair, solving puzzles and interacting with the surroundings. The camera allows 360-degree viewing, while pre-rendered backgrounds are combined with live-action video sequences. Humor and pop-culture references accompany the journey.
