A strategy game with simulation and survival-horror elements, Zafehouse: Diaries follows five survivors trying to escape an abandoned town overrun by the undead. The player assigns tasks while accounting for the group’s fragile relationships, conflicting motives and prejudices, and makes choices that affect its cohesion.
Zombies are not the only threat: lynch mobs, zombie hunters and bitten survivors can be bargained with, traded with or fought. Procedural generation creates new survivors, towns and events for each playthrough, while built-in editors allow players to add characters and set stories in familiar places. The diary records actions and incidents as the group’s story unfolds.
