Veil of Crows

Set in a chaotic medieval world, this real-time strategy game with role-playing elements centers on rival factions vying for power and the throne. Players command armies, lay siege to castles and fight battles shaped by weather, terrain and other conditions; buildings and walls can be destroyed. Heroes develop over time, while unit types have different strengths and weaknesses.

The campaign involves exploring a map of towns and villages, completing quests, hunting bandits and managing faction resources. Resources can be traded or used to upgrade castles and train stronger units. Actions affect relations with other factions, allowing players to form alliances, threaten rivals, bribe them or extort them. The game includes a prologue, a main campaign, a sandbox mode with configurable starting conditions and custom battles. The world persists after a hero dies, but the next attempt begins with a new character and faction.
