Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Ultimate All-Stars is a 2D tag-team fighter that pits characters from Capcom games against anime heroes from Tatsunoko Productions. Battles are fought in teams of two, with players able to switch fighters mid-match or call in their partner for assistance.
The combat system uses four attack types: weak, medium, strong and assist. Moves include switching characters during an aerial combo, the offensive Assault, the defensive Mega Crash and Baroque, which cancels an attack and extends combos while increasing damage. The game also features four mini-games and optional control schemes.
