Summer Islands

This real-time strategy business simulator is about developing island resorts and earning money from tourists. Maps are generated with different settings, ranging from small islands to large archipelagos with mountains or sandy shores. Players build cabins, villas and hotels, alongside bars, restaurants, shops, parks and other attractions. Mass-market and luxury tourists have different preferences for nearby buildings; facilities aimed at luxury visitors earn more but cost more and accommodate fewer guests.

Resort management includes borrowing and repaying money, advertising, insuring buildings and adjusting rent. Natural disasters can damage the resort, while competitors expand into nearby territory and may resort to sabotage. The game supports solo play, matches with friends and computer opponents. Its map editor lets players create islands and set conditions for events, construction and disasters.
