This racing game features competitions on circuits, city streets, rally routes and oval tracks. Race Driver 2006 includes more than 50 cars and over 60 circuits, with up to 21 cars competing on screen at once. Events span several disciplines, including sports car racing, rally, touring cars and truck racing.
The Trans-World Cup mode is built around short races. Career progression also involves time trials and skill tests, with results contributing to a ranking of racers. Online races support up to 12 players.
