Nox (2000)

Nox is a fantasy action role-playing game about Jack Mauer, a man from Earth who is drawn through a portal into the world of Nox and becomes caught up in a conflict with Hecubah, queen of the necromancers. At the start, the player chooses one of three classes: warrior, conjurer, or wizard. Each has a distinct combat style and its own storyline, with locations and plot developments that differ between playthroughs.

In isometric locations, Jack explores dungeons and wilderness, fights enemies, aids allies, and gathers weapons, armor, and spells. Class choice shapes progression: warriors rely on combat abilities, conjurers summon creatures, and wizards use a broad range of spells. The TrueSight visibility system darkens areas beyond the hero’s line of sight. Multiplayer includes modes such as deathmatch and capture the flag.
