Set during the Golden Age of whaling, this seafaring strategy game follows Ishmael, the sole survivor of the Pequod, several years after the events of Herman Melville’s novel. He sails around the world, visits cities, takes on jobs and hunts whales to build his prestige. The central quest is to pursue Moby Dick, uncover its secrets and lift Ahab’s curse.
Players develop Ishmael’s attributes and seafaring skills, choose his reactions and face the consequences of their decisions. They hire and assign tasks to the crew, expand the ship with new compartments and discover whaling grounds. Encounters with pirates use turn-based combat, while choices shape the journey through a range of events.
