This baseball sports game gives players control over the main on-field actions: pitching, hitting, fielding, and base running. In MVP Baseball 2004, the batting system lets players choose a swing to suit the situation, while fielding control includes leaping at the wall to rob a home run, sliding to avoid a tag, and taking out the catcher at home.
In Dynasty Mode, players manage a franchise from the minor leagues to the pros, choosing to play, simulate, or manage each game. Additional modes include Pitching Challenge and online one-on-one matches and tournaments. The game also features classic stadiums, lighting variations, and new crowd chants.
