Mutant Mudds Deluxe is a retro-styled pixel action platformer in which Max searches for mysterious Water Sprites in hopes of washing away the Mutant Mudds. Armed with a water cannon and a jetpack, he can move between the foreground, background, and a third 2D playfield.
Players jump between platforms, shoot, and hover through 80 levels across five worlds. Power-ups grant access to secret doorways, while collectibles and achievements provide further goals. The game also includes 20 ghost levels with altered rules and 20 stages designed for veteran players. Grannie and other playable characters can be unlocked, each using different combinations of power-ups.
