Mechs & Mercs: Black Talons

This real-time tactical strategy game follows the Black Talons mercenary company, stranded in the Oberon system after the Tzanar Union captures the planet Genai. To escape, the company must help Genai’s forces repel the invasion and reclaim the planet. Against a backdrop of war and shifting alliances across the galaxy, the campaign lets the player’s actions affect the system’s balance of power and relations between factions.

The player commands squads made up of different unit classes, each with specialized roles, weapons, abilities, and skill trees. Squads persist between missions and can be customized, while mechs can turn the tide of battle. The base can be upgraded to increase squad numbers, teleport soldiers, or bombard the battlefield. Missions take place across five worlds with varying environments and weather, and faction relations can unlock unique units or interfere with missions.
