Jogos educativos são projetos nos quais o usuário aprende algo ao jogar. Normalmente, isso é feito em um modo competitivo ou interativo e divertido. Uma pessoa pode ser ensinada sobre qualquer coisa: desde leitura e digitação até direção e caça. Claro, quanto mais complexo for o assunto de aprendizado, menor será o efeito de passar pelo jogo. Após um jogo, a criança aprenderá a ler, e após outro, apenas descobrirá alguns fatos interessantes sobre a caça correta.
