A tower defense strategy game with a pirate setting, Fort Defense centers on protecting a fortress from land and sea assaults by buccaneers. The player builds towers and structures, gathers crystals, and uses spells to stop the enemy advance and prevent the fort from being destroyed.
The campaign features 40 levels of varying difficulty across two locations. Battles include 12 types of creatures, ships, and bosses; there are 12 types of towers and structures, and spells can be upgraded. Combat combines the use of magic and weapons.
