A strategy and role-playing game based on the TV series ER, it follows a newly hired intern at Chicago's County General Hospital. The player treats patients with a range of conditions, from cuts and bruises to serious injuries caused by accidents and violence, and interacts with characters from the show.
Alongside patient care, the intern must handle workplace goals, hospital politics and ethical dilemmas, and can pursue romances. As the character gains prestige among colleagues and supervisors, they advance through the hospital ranks.
