A music-driven twin-stick shooter, A City Sleeps follows Poe, the youngest member of an ancient clan of dream exorcists who enter sleeping minds to fight demons. When the residents of SanLo fall into an endless slumber, Poe ventures into their nightmares to cleanse them and uncover the city’s secrets.
Combat unfolds in time with the soundtrack, which responds to the action and influences Poe’s projectiles, enemy spawns and movement, and bullet patterns. Her ghost familiars can possess objects in the dream world, turning them into Idols with offensive or defensive abilities. Different familiar combinations and relics support varied play styles, while multiple difficulty settings and remixed Cursed variants offer further challenges.
