Catechumen is a first-person shooter set in ancient Rome in 171 A.D., where demonic evil threatens humanity. An initiate of the Realm of Sacred Mysteries ventures into the catacombs beneath the city to find a captured mentor and other members of the faithful, held there as victims of a sinister conspiracy.
In the catacombs, the player battles demons and beasts whose tactics and powers vary. A divinely bestowed arsenal provides the means to confront these enemies and restore tormented souls. The game features expansive levels across multiple realms and takes a pacifist, gore-free approach to combat.
