Bomb Royale is an arena game in which bears fight one another with dynamite and special abilities. Matches take place in arenas with fixed walls and destructible obstacles, including boxes and ice blocks. Players place explosives while trying to avoid being trapped by their opponents.
Boxes broken during a match can contain one of four power-ups: the ability to place more dynamite, increase its blast radius, move faster, or gain an extra life. The game has a roster of 12 characters, with Mocha, Darius, and Gus available from the start. Wins and kills earn gold, which can be used to unlock the other bears.
