Black & White is a real-time strategy game with RPG elements. By taking on the role of a god, the player can use all supernatural abilities. A special role is assigned to magic, which is divided into 2 types: to help people and to destroy them. For example, the player can use water magic to create rain, which helps crops grow. You can quickly build new houses or extract valuable resources with the power of your thoughts to speed up the development of your people. To destroy people, God can use destructive magic: create fireballs that burn out everything in its path, launch chain lightning that can kill an entire group. The player is free to choose his own method of achieving goals depending on his playing style.

Um simulador de divindade que deixa uma impressão bastante mista. Missões e tarefas constantes, um sistema de "construção de cidades e infraestrutura" para assentamentos e uma variedade de terrenos — tudo isso parece muito bom. O templo do ser celestial (o jogador), que se destaca majestosamente contra o pano de fundo das casas dos fiéis, é particularmente agradável. No entanto, o design levanta muitas questões: há animais de estimação desproporcionais com aparência estranha e pessoas pequenas francamente feias. O fato de você ter que mudar constantemente sua posição de domínio também é frustrante.

Постоянные квесты и задания, система «градостроения и инфраструктуры» поселений, разнообразность местности — всё это, казалось бы, очень неплохо. Отдельно радует величественно смотрящийся на фоне домиков верующих храм небожителя (игрока). Но оформление во многом вызывает вопросы: тут тебе и странно выглядящие питомцы-переростки, и прямо таки уродливо нарисованные человечки. Огорчает ещё и тот факт, что постоянно приходится менять место господства.
