Black & White is a real-time strategy game with RPG elements. By taking on the role of a god, the player can use all supernatural abilities. A special role is assigned to magic, which is divided into 2 types: to help people and to destroy them. For example, the player can use water magic to create rain, which helps crops grow. You can quickly build new houses or extract valuable resources with the power of your thoughts to speed up the development of your people. To destroy people, God can use destructive magic: create fireballs that burn out everything in its path, launch chain lightning that can kill an entire group. The player is free to choose his own method of achieving goals depending on his playing style.

Симулятор божества, вызывающий крайне неоднозначные впечатления. Постоянные квесты и задания, система «градостроения и инфраструктуры» поселений, разнообразность местности — всё это, казалось бы, очень неплохо. Отдельно радует величественно смотрящийся на фоне домиков верующих храм небожителя (игрока). Но оформление во многом вызывает вопросы: тут тебе и странно выглядящие питомцы-переростки, и прямо таки уродливо нарисованные человечки. Огорчает ещё и тот факт, что постоянно приходится менять место господства.
