Barbarian Brawl is a third-person multiplayer action brawler in which barbarians fight in arenas resembling villages. Matches pit groups of up to 20 players against one another in battlefields filled with hazards such as bear traps, guillotines and spikes. Players choose from six barbarians with different strengths and weaknesses, then fight with weapons including swords, axes, hammers and scythes.
In Free-for-All, collected ham can be eaten to restore health. Team Death Match instead challenges teams to collect more ham than their opponents; a golden ham also appears on the map, but cannot be eaten. Ham is central to the game’s combat loop, giving barbarians a reason to keep fighting.
