A survival simulator set during a zombie apocalypse, in which the protagonist is left alone among the infected and must last 30 days until help is expected to arrive. The game world is procedurally generated, and the story is only one way to play: the main goal is to survive and escape the dangerous area.
The player monitors hunger and fatigue, searches interactive locations for useful items and weapons, establishes a shelter, and avoids the walking dead and infected animals. Day and night alternate as the player works to stay alive. Several storylines lead to the game's conclusion, while achievements and high scores encourage repeat play.
