'Severance' Becomes the Most-Watched Series on Apple TV+

Apple is thrilled with the success of Severance. According to the company, it is now the most popular series in Apple TV+ history.

Over the past month, the sci-fi thriller managed to surpass another Apple hit—the comedy series Ted Lasso. According to Deadline, the show’s total watch time in the U.S. reached 589 million minutes, with 28% of that coming from the start of Season 2.

The release of new episodes also drove a surge in new subscribers—between January 1 and January 19, sign-ups increased by 126% compared to the same period in December. However, Apple did offer a free weekend at the beginning of January.

Season 2 of Severance premiered on January 17. The finale is set to air on March 21.
