According to Deadline, Warner Bros. has reportedly found its Albus Dumbledore for the upcoming Harry Potter series. Sources claim that John Lithgow is in the final stages of negotiations to play the legendary wizard.
Lithgow is a two-time Golden Globe winner and six-time Emmy winner, known for roles in films like Interstellar and his chilling performance as a serial killer in Dexter.
Warner Bros. has declined to comment, stating that official casting announcements will come only after deals are finalized. So far, the studio has only confirmed that casting is actively underway for Harry, Hermione, and Ron.
The Harry Potter series is planned to span seven seasons, with the first set to premiere in 2026.
