Nixxes Studios, responsible for the PC port of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, has released patch 1.31.0.0 with a crash fix. The update eliminates freezes that occur when launching the game.
As stated in the patch notes, the update solves the issue of crashes on PC with ray tracing enabled. The developers also said that they are closely monitoring all error messages and are working on new fixes to eliminate the errors «as soon as possible».
Recall that Marvel's Spider-Man 2 received «mixed» reviews on Steam. Many players criticized the port from Nixxes for poor optimization, bugs, and a rather raw state. At the time of writing, the game's rating is only 57% based on more than 3 thousand reviews. According to SteamDB, the peak online of the project reached 24 thousand players.
